Sankeweye’n Iapjiw

December 1, 2017

On behalf of the Union of Nova Scotia Indians staff and board of directors, it is with great sadness that I offer our condolences to the family of the late Kji Saqmaw Ben Sylliboy. As Grand Chief of the Mi’kmaw Nation, Ben Sylliboy was a strong and honourable leader.

On a personal reflection, UNSI remembers our late Kji Saqmaw as a warm and kind-hearted gentleman, who always listened to the concerns of others while offering sagely advice. Kji Saqmaw Ben Sylliboy will always be remembered in our thoughts, prayers, and work we do for our Mi’kmaw people.
